It’s been another meaningful week for the team at APT Legal, with a mix of emotional client moments, forward-thinking planning, and some good old-fashioned paperwork catching up. Here’s what we’ve all been up to:
Carrie’s Week
Carrie has had a truly touching week. She met with a terminally ill client to ensure her Will was in place, giving her and her husband peace of mind at a very difficult time. These are the moments where the work we do really hits home. On a more strategic note, Carrie also connected with a new referral partner and spent some time learning about how AI might help our business work more efficiently in the future. She’s also managed to get a complex Probate application submitted, one that’s been a real knot to untangle, so there’s a definite sense of progress!
Deborah’s Week
Deborah’s been focusing on protecting businesses and reconnecting with the community. She sat down with two business partners to map out their Business Lasting Powers of Attorney, making sure they’re both protected if the unexpected happens. She also attended the Women in the Hive networking event in Grantham, catching up with familiar faces and meeting new ones. A particularly emotional part of her week involved helping someone who can’t find their Wills while their husband is experiencing a serious health issue, reminding us all how important these documents are.
Lindsey’s Week
Lindsey has been all about reflection and organisation. She revisited clients for their three-year Will reviews, helping ensure everything’s still aligned with their wishes. She also used the flexibility we have as a team to catch up on paperwork from home on Friday. It’s one of the perks of modern working life: a quieter day, a warm brew, and a chance to get everything in order.
Jodie’s Week
Jodie’s been wearing several hats this week. She’s preparing a presentation for an upcoming networking event to demystify what goes into making a Will, a great way to inform and engage others. She also supported a man grieving the recent loss of his partner of 44 years. Sadly, they weren’t married and there was no Will, which has made things more complicated, another heartbreaking but important reminder of why the work we do matters. She also visited a gentleman who’s just moved into a care home, helping him set up LPAs so his family can support him when needed.
We’re proud of the work we do and the people we meet along the way. From practical support to personal moments, every week looks a little different, and that’s just how we like it.
Lisa’s Week
Behind the scenes, Lisa has been keeping the wheels turning. She tackled a spring clean of the filing cabinet (no small task!), brought the invoicing up to date, and kept the diary ticking over with confirmed appointments. It might not grab headlines, but without this kind of quiet efficiency, none of the rest would run as smoothly. Every team needs someone who keeps the foundations solid, this week, that was Lisa.
Same time next week?
