It’s been another varied and rewarding week here at APT Legal. From guiding families through the legal maze after a loss to spreading awareness in the community (with sweets, no less), the team has once again shown just how personal this line of work can be. Here’s what we’ve all been up to:
Carrie’s Week
Carrie’s week has been filled with meaningful conversations and important milestones. She’s been helping families navigate the complexities of Probate following the sudden loss of a loved one, incredibly difficult circumstances, but ones where our support can make a real difference. She’s also been meeting clients to update their Wills, including one couple making their very first Will after welcoming their first child, a wonderful example of planning for the future.
Deborah’s Week
Deb has taken her usual creative approach to client education this week. She delivered a session using a game of Inheritance Pass the Parcel to illustrate the real-world impact of having (or not having) a Will, sweets as stand-ins for money, and plenty of lightbulb moments. She also helped a couple review Wills they’d done online, spotting that the company had appointed themselves as Executors unnecessarily. Another tick for the value of real advice. Plus, she chose the Book of the Month for the Grantham Business Club prize draw, proudly sponsored by APT.
Lisa’s Week
Lisa has, as ever, been the glue holding everything together. She greeted clients who popped into the office while the team were out at meetings, arranged a thoughtful flower delivery for a client gift, and kept our filing system neat and up to date by reviewing and closing off completed matters. It’s the kind of behind-the-scenes work that keeps the whole place running smoothly, and she makes it look effortless.
Lindsey’s Week
Lindsey has been quietly brilliant this week, supporting Carrie with new Probate cases and making sure the practical details of office life are all in hand. From stocking up on supplies to getting appointments booked for Carrie and Jodie, she’s kept the momentum going without missing a beat.
Jodie’s Week
Jodie’s been stepping into new territory, handling her first Probate matters alongside Carrie, a steep learning curve, but she’s taking it in her stride. She’s also making headway on her Estate Planning course and meeting new clients to take Will instructions. It’s always rewarding to see someone’s confidence grow as they get stuck in, and Jodie’s definitely on that path.
