A Week in the Life at APT Legal

Another week, another collection of stories that remind us just how varied and human our work really is. From supporting charity efforts to navigating tricky paperwork, the APT team has been doing what we do best: helping people feel informed, protected, and looked after.

Carrie’s Week
Carrie’s been busy both in and out of the office. She supported a local charity football match raising money for children with terminal illnesses, a cause close to many hearts. In the day job, she helped several clients finalise their Wills, giving them peace of mind and a sense of control over their future plans. One particularly emotional moment came when she was able to reassure a worried client whose husband’s Probate had been complicated by poor advice from elsewhere. A steady hand and the right knowledge can make all the difference.

Deb’s Week (with a few wins for Tom)
Deb’s been mixing education, events, and Rotary pride. She helped a couple who’ve been tweaking their own Wills for 40 years (yes, really!) feel confident that everything is now legally sound and in place. She’s also geared up for The Big Business Event at Harlaxton Manor, complete with a fun round of Would I Lie To You? to get people thinking differently about estate planning. And she made sure her Grantham Sunrise Rotary Club got a business boost too, sharing her stand and making some helpful introductions.

Jodie’s Week
Jodie’s confidence is going from strength to strength. This week she handled a brand-new Probate case solo (with careful checks, of course), which is no small feat. She also attended a brilliant networking event where she delivered her first ‘round the room’ pitch, a great step in building her voice in the community. On top of that, she visited clients in their homes to help with Will instructions, offering both comfort and clarity in familiar surroundings.

Lindsey’s Week
Lindsey’s been on top of things as ever, getting everything in order ahead of her well-earned break next week. She supported Carrie with a Probate matter and continued training Lisa on office systems to keep things ticking over while she’s away. It’s that kind of quiet forward planning that keeps everything running smoothly, even when team members are off enjoying a bit of downtime.

Lisa’s Week
Lisa has had her hands full making sure clients are prepped and ready. She confirmed appointments for Carrie and Jodie, ensuring everyone had the information they needed ahead of their meetings. She also sent out review emails to clients to check that their Wills and documents still reflect their current wishes, a small task that can make a big difference. Plus, she’s been training with Lindsey to take on a few extra responsibilities next week. It’s great to see her continuing to grow.

Every week brings new faces, fresh challenges, and plenty of teamwork. Whether it’s in the community, over a cuppa at home, or in the office, we’re here to help.

Same time next week?
