Taking time to reflect on weekly wins is something we value as a team. Not just the big achievements, but the smaller moments that highlight progress, collaboration and the real impact of the work we do.
Strengthening Professional Relationships
One of this week’s positives was a one to one conversation with a mortgage broker who is keen to work with us going forward. Building strong relationships with trusted professionals allows us to provide better joined up support for clients.
We have also been delivering CPD sessions with solicitors we already work closely with. These sessions are about sharing knowledge, strengthening partnerships and ensuring clients benefit from informed, up to date advice.
It was also great to be back at the Lincoln Business Club for the first meeting of 2026. Reconnecting with the local business community and welcoming the year ahead felt like a strong start.
Supporting Families Through Challenging Situations
Not all wins come from easy circumstances. This week included a difficult case involving an elderly parent with dementia, where concerns were raised about undue influence and the handling of a Will and estate administration.
While distressing for the family involved, we were able to point them towards experienced contentious probate solicitors within our professional network. Having access to the right specialist support at the right time can make a significant difference in protecting vulnerable individuals and ensuring matters are properly investigated.
The Human Side of the Job
There were also reminders this week of how understanding and human our clients can be.
An early arrival for a signing could have been awkward, but the client was completely relaxed about it, which was very much appreciated.
We also met several new clients referred by a financial adviser we work closely with. In more than one case, they admitted they had been encouraged for years to put their Wills in place. It was good to see that persistence, and trusted advice, finally pay off.
Even with challenging weather conditions, those visits went ahead and reinforced the value of strong professional relationships and personal recommendations.
