Every week at APT Legal we take a moment to recognise the meaningful work our team delivers for clients across England and Wales. Some wins are big, some are quiet, but all of them make a difference to the people and families who place their trust in us. Here is what the team achieved this week.
Carrie’s Wins
It has been a productive and rewarding week for Carrie. She successfully completed probate on a complex matter, and crucially did so ahead of the tax deadline. This provided the family with clarity and avoided unnecessary financial pressure during an already difficult time.
Carrie also prepared a Deed of Variation that will help clients save a significant amount of tax in the long term. This type of planning can make a real difference to how an estate is managed and protected.
Another highlight of the week was supporting several poorly clients who urgently needed their Wills in place. Carrie and the wider team worked together to ensure everything was completed quickly and professionally, giving these clients peace of mind at a time when they needed it most.
Deb’s Wins for Tom
Deb has had an interesting week of her own. She spent two days at the London Vet Show after being invited to speak about the client journey for veterinary health care plans. Although not directly related to Wills, it was a valuable opportunity to share expertise, represent APT Legal and build new relationships. Deb also took APT Legal business cards and already has a meeting lined up with the CEO of one of the largest organisations in the veterinary sector. You never know how many practice owners have properly planned for death, loss of capacity or major life changes.
Alongside this, Deb began initial conversations with a couple who recently lost a parent. They are now ready to put proper planning in place for their own future, and Deb has started guiding them through the process with care and clarity.
To finish the week, she has been working through some complex calculations for clients with a blended family. The aim is to ensure that when the first partner dies, all children, stepchildren, nieces and nephews receive the correct share of the estate. It is detailed work, but it ensures fairness and avoids disputes later on.
A Week That Made a Difference
These wins highlight the variety of situations we support and the level of dedication that goes into every piece of work undertaken by the team. Whether it is solving complicated tax issues, helping families through loss or assisting clients who are unwell, APT Legal continues to put people at the heart of everything we do.
If you would like help with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney or probate, our team is here to support you with clear advice and a friendly approach.
