Some people come into your life for a reason, and some stay there because they genuinely believe in you. Darren Ward is one of those people.
I am absolutely delighted to announce that Darren has joined APT Legal as a Consultant, bringing with him decades of experience in financial advice, inheritance tax planning and estate planning.
This is a particularly special moment for me because, over ten years ago, when APT Legal was nothing more than an idea, Darren was one of the people who encouraged me to take the leap. He was my sounding board, my mentor, my cheerleader and a trusted friend. Whenever I needed advice, reassurance or someone to challenge my thinking, Darren was always there.
To now have the opportunity to work alongside him again feels like everything has come full circle.
Following his retirement as an Independent Financial Adviser, Darren wasn’t quite ready to put his wealth of knowledge on the shelf. Thankfully for us—and for our clients—he has chosen to share that expertise with the APT family.
Darren’s experience in financial planning and inheritance tax advice perfectly complements the services we already provide. Estate planning is about so much more than writing a Will. It’s about ensuring clients have the right plan in place for their future, protecting their wealth, looking after their loved ones and making informed decisions. Darren’s knowledge will add another valuable dimension to the advice and support we can offer.
One of the things I’ve always admired about Darren is his ability to explain complex financial matters in a way that clients genuinely understand. He has spent his career helping people make confident decisions, and I know our clients will benefit enormously from his experience.
Of course, there is one small challenge for Darren…
He is now the only man in an office with six ladies!
We’re not making any promises that he’ll survive the endless chatter, birthday cakes, cups of tea and occasional office debates, but if anyone can handle it, it’s Darren.
On a personal note, I couldn’t be happier to have such a good friend back by my side. APT Legal has grown so much over the last decade, and to welcome someone who played such an important part in the very beginning makes this chapter even more meaningful.
Welcome to the APT family (officially), Darren. Thank you for believing in me all those years ago, and here’s to the next chapter together.
