Our team at APT Legal have had a week full of meaningful progress, both professionally and personally. From helping families plan for the future to rescuing cats (yes, really), it’s all in a week’s work.
Carrie’s Week
Carrie kicked off the week by interviewing several graduates for a work experience role, helping to shape the next generation of legal professionals. A long-standing case also came to a successful close, as she finally helped a farming client put a Will in place after his family had spent nine years encouraging him to do so. She also made time for a quick trip to London for a networking event, squeezing in dinner and cocktails with a friend while she was there.
Jodie’s Week
Jodie supported a 93-year-old gentleman in setting up Lasting Powers of Attorney, giving his children the legal ability to help manage his affairs if needed. She also spotted that an inherited leasehold property had never been registered with the Land Registry and provided the right advice on how to put that right. In addition, she helped a couple finally get their Wills sorted after years of delays.
Deb’s Week
Deb worked closely with a multi-generational family business to put everything in order for the future. This included Wills, Trusts and LPAs, giving the whole family peace of mind. She also took a step back from some of her networking commitments to free up more time for her clients. And in a moment of unexpected heroism, she helped her daughter and daughter-in-law rescue a cat that had managed to get stuck under their car. Happily, the furry escapee was reunited with its very grateful owner.
Lindsey’s Week
Lindsey spent the week checking in with existing clients to progress documents and followed up with potential clients to see if they were ready to move forward with their Wills. She also made the most of one of the perks of the job by working from home and enjoying the air conditioning while she did it.
As always, it’s been a week full of small wins, big progress and a lot of care for both clients and colleagues. Let’s see what the next week brings.
